The series also centers around a different dragon for each book. It’s like she sets up every chapter to end up on a cliff hanger. Her books are exciting she really has a knack for developing characters and her plot lines are fast-paced and incredibly creative. I can understand why her series works for all ages. There were kids in first and second grade up through high school and possibly college. One thing that struck me from Tui’s book event is how wide a range her fan base in.
It was nice to see him willing to attend a book event and wait in line for more than an hour to get his book signed. Now that he’s in high school, he gets enough assigned reading that I don’t push for him to read like I used to. Sutherland’s Wings of Fire series that really hit his mark. My son is also a fan of graphic novels, including Big Nate.īut it was Tui T. He also likes Stuart Gibbs FunJungle series but refused to read his Spy School series. My son has mostly read books by Rick Riordan with a smattering of Gordon Korman. We’ve had the great pleasure of going to three of her book events so far. They still get burned, but it heals within a few seconds, no matter how hot the fire is. MudWings who hatch from red eggs are immune to fire. The MudWings hatch red eggs instead of brown ones every few years in their tribe. An example of a good outcome from an egg hatching would be the MudWings from the series.An example of a dragon who still survived however and has firescales is Peril from the series. The one with too much fire can burn whatever they touch, and are killed as soon as the tribe finds out they have firescales to prevent any danger to the tribe. In the series, SkyWings can sometimes be born with too much fire when they hatch with a twin, while the other twin has too little fire. An example of a bad outcome of a dragon hatching is firescales.Some real things that happened like this from the series are below: Make up certain problems or good things that may happen to a dragon when they first hatch in their tribe.
